There is a lovely group
known as the
Queen Bee Five
QB5
who regularly swap their lovely makes.

I love them all individually
and I love them as a group.

I saw their Christmas gift swaps
and decided to try to make what Carole had...
snippet rolls.

Carole ran the fabric journal tutorial
I did last year.

It seems that
many of us have been inspired to make a snippet roll too...

Mine is not finished yet
and will be different as I have no
sewing machine
but it's fun using up those scraps...

why not give it a try ?

  1. I also love Carole's snippet rolls. I was so excited when she posted her tutorial. I will be making some of those sweeties soon.

  2. Well, I can't wait to see yours finished! Everyone's turns out so differently, and ALL are SO beautiful!

I have one of Carole's but have no desire to make one of my own- yet. Is there something wrong with me?

  3. I've seen Nathalie's snippet roll - it's LUSH! I'm going to have a look - I have a sewing machine but no ability to use it :0( but if you're doing yours by hand then maybe I can too.

  4. It sounds a fun project but I hardly dare look as I might be seduced into joining in and I must stick to my own self imposed schedule this year. Your spring ATC swap looks a good project too. I'm hoping to get all my stuff done and then join in with projects/swaps later Penny, especially in the Autumn and lead up to Christmas

Thanks for entering my giveaway. Good luck sweetie x

  5. Penny, I can't wait to see more! Hand sewing is so much nicer than machine stitching, I think yours is going to look spectacular!
    Hugs, Carole
(thanks for the lovely comments too!)

  7. Oh...Penny! How sweet..... the QB5 love you, too. Hugs all around! I have the one Carol sent me....but like Nathalie, I haven't made one yet. I think it's because I'm beating my head against the wall trying to get going on the next QB5 Swap that I'm supposed to mail by Monday. Here I am reading blogs!!!
